Course Objectives

This course will share Singapore's experience in long-term economic planning, and introduces Singapore's key economic policies and development strategies. It will also focus on topics related to preparing the workforce for the future economy. 

Topics Include

  • Introduction to Singapore's early strategies in economic development

  • Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups

  • Overview of Industry 4.0 and its impact on economic development

  • Impact of Industry 4.0 on future of economies and work

  • Coping with the impact of Industry 4.0: Building a competitive, well-educated and future-ready workforce

Participant Profile

  • Mid- to senior-level officials from Africa, Asia and the Middle East who are involved in economic development and planning

  • Proficient in written and spoken English

The Nominating Government will be responsible for travel arrangements, accommodation and other local and incidental expenses of their participants.

Application Procedure

Step 1 Invitation.

The General Information Brochure will be conveyed to eligible countries/territories/inter-governmental organisations about twelve weeks prior to the commencement of a course. You can also find more information about courses under the SCP on this Website.


Step 2 Application.

Interested applicants should be suitably qualified and holding relevant portfolios to the programme you are applying to. Please complete the online form that can be accessed via the button below and obtain endorsement from your Supervisor and designated Focal Points for Technical Assistance. 


Step 3 Confirmation.

Successful applicants will receive a Conditional Letter of Acceptance and Confirmation Letter via email.

- Please ensure that your passport or travel document has the minimum validity period for entry into Jordan.

- Please bring along the Conditional Letter of Acceptance to Jordan to facilitate airport clearance.

This Course has limited seatings. Applicants are advised to submit application and confirmation early to secure a seat.
