Course Objectives

Through the lens of the technological road-maps of the Singapore judiciary, this programme enables participants to better appreciate the challenges involved in conceptualising, developing and implementing court IT solutions, as well as develop keener sensitivity to the features of a conducive operating environment that supports such solutions. This serves to equip the participants with the ability to strategise effective and innovative plans to implement IT solutions for their courts of the future.


 Learning Objectives


  • Survey the digital landscape for the courts of the future and identify the challenges in implementing court technology

  • State the features of specific court IT solutions through live demonstration sessions

  • Identify the challenges in conceptualising, developing and implementing such IT solutions

  • Describe what makes an operating environment conducive to support the use of IT in the courts

  • Identify applicable IT solutions and strategise funding proposals through an envisioning exercise.

Participant Profile

  • Mid to senior-level judges, legal technologists, as well as court and government officials who are involved in conceptualising, developing and implementing IT solutions in the courts

  • Nominated by their respective Governments

  • Proficient in written and spoken English

Conducted via Zoom

The course will be held over 5 days from 14 to 18 September 2020, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Singapore Time; UTC/GMT +8 hours). As the course is highly interactive, participants should ensure that they are able to attend all sessions before applying for the course.


Participants require an internet-enabled device with Zoom installed, a functioning webcam, microphone and audio.

Application Procedure

Step 1 Invitation.

The General Information Brochure will be conveyed to eligible countries/territories/inter-governmental organisations about twelve weeks prior to the commencement of a course. You can also find more information about courses under the SCP on this Website.


Step 2 Application.

Interested applicants should be suitably qualified and holding relevant portfolios to the programme you are applying to. Please complete the online form that can be accessed via the button below and obtain endorsement from your Supervisor and designated Focal Points for Technical Assistance. 


Step 3 Confirmation.

Successful applicants will receive a Conditional Letter of Acceptance and Confirmation Letter via email.

  • Please check your email and submit the confirmation online form to secure a seating in the course.

This Course has limited seatings for 30 participants only. Applicants are advised to submit application and confirmation early to secure a seat.
